NYC: Eleven Madison Parks: Sweet Finishes

A little teaser for the morning.

Lunch at Eleven Madison Park with Justin. Petite fours. Earl Grey Tea Macarons are one thing. But these were earl grey with chocolate and blueberries. How they managed to make each flavor stand out so clear and intense is beyond me. I just like eating them ;)

On a different occasion, macarons presented in a set of seven. How to pick just one? You don’t! Devour them all. Bite to bite, from the bottom up. Hazelnut & Brown Butter, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Chocolate-Banana, Candied Violet, Black Olive & White Chocolate, Pistachio-Rose, and Toasted Sesame. The more unusual flavors were stunning, but in the end, a classic pairing of pistachio and roses won my heart.

Now if only they’d bring back the dessert trolley…

…so my days could be filled with the crisp and buttery sweet Kouign Amann, a little more of that sour cherry jam and crème fraîche, s’il vous plaît…

…and Chocolate-Lilikoi Tarts. Oh la la!

P.S. Will be in Philly for the World Tea East Expo tomorrow, any favorite spots for sweets and/or savory bites? No worries, I’ve got Capogiro gelato down ;)
