Afternoon tea for two on Moana Surfrider’s 117th birthday.
First, tea (this is the Veranda Breeze – black tea with Big Island vanilla and caramel)…
…and then champagne.
Now we eat:
- Cucumber and watercress with sea salt and herb butter
- Smoked salmon, whipped cream cheese and capers on marbled rye
- Egg salad and fine herbs
- Roasted turkey, kula spinach, Boursin
Raisin scones with lemon curd and Devonshire cream
Onto the sweets:
- Opera cake
- Chocolate Eclair
- Lemon macaron
- Fruit tart
And then Chef David sent out the best afternoon tea dessert…braised wagyu short rib katsu sandwiches ^-^
