A few new edits/updates to the afternoon tea at The Kahala ^-^
Three tiers. Scones on top, sweets on the bottom, and sandwiches in the middle.
Let’s start with the sandwiches…
Roasted kabocha and Big Island goat cheese with sweet Ewa onion jam and candied walnuts on sprouted wheat.
Smoked salmon tartare with shallots, olive oil, capers, tarragon, chervil, tobiko and ikura on toasted light rye.
Roast beef with sour cream horseradish and watercress on 12 grain wheat.
Roast Turkey with cranberry cream cheese and bacon stuffing aioli on white.
Currant scones, still warm…
…with clotted cream and pineapple preserves.
Sweets to finish.
Raspberry-poached pears and almond frangipane in a tart shell.
Hawaiian milk chocolate financier.
Purple sweet potato and haupia bar.
