Make sure to budget extra time at TWG, there’s always a wait. Those who have been to any Mariage Frères location will recognize the resemblance. It’s nearly identical…except Singapore-owned.
The “Tea Time” menu offers multiple versions of an afternoon tea set. This is the standard. Two tiers. Savories on top and sweets on the bottom (pick between a scones with tea jelly or one of the daily desserts).
- Smoked salmon and horseradish cream with nori and genmaicha furikake
- Mimosa egg sandwich with aioli and mirror quail egg
- Smoky Russian Tea-infused tomato bread with pesto chicken and stracciatella
They also have a separate, fancier dessert menu featuring…Sakura Vacherin! One scoop Sakura! Sakura! Tea sorbet. One scoop Vanilla Bourbon Tea ice cream. Sandwiched with frozen meringues on either side. Topped with berries, raspberry coulis, and soft whipped vanilla tea cream. Not too shabby, eh?
