Hey, London!

We spent a week in London before going to Paris, and now we’re back. The exchange rate is 1.75 USD to the GBP…which means that we won’t be doing nearly as much shopping as planned ;) So far:

Dim Sum not one or two or even three times. But FOUR times at Royal China on Baker Street. We have four relatives that live in London and we had lunch with them separately. And of course, they all selected Royal China. So we had lunch here four days in a row. Good thing I could never tired of dan tat.

Drinks with Su-Lin and Don at Mandarin Oriental London. Don brought along madelines from St. John’s which we happily devoured with the cocktails. Going to see Su-Lin again for doughnuts this weekend, can’t wait ^_^

Saturday morning on Portobello Road in Notting Hill.

We spent all Monday in Bicester Village (about an hour outside of London). Outlet mall heaven with brands like Marni, Prada, La Perla, Celine, and Agent Provocateur. Here we are waiting for the train heading back into London…dad says alooooha!

Dinner with at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. Inside the “Meat Fruit.” Dinner costed a pretty penny. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t worth the final bill.

Gelato time at Gelupo…bliss. Pistachio, Hazelnut, Ricotta-Honey, and Hazelnut. Definitely need to return again before leaving. And I’ve got my eye set on a brownie at Paul A. Young.

P.S. All these photos are off my instagram… follow along here ^_^

I am studying abroad in London right now! Any [college budget-friendly] places for afternoon tea you could recommend?

Hi Cat! You are lucky!! My sister is studying abroad in London as well…I'm totally jealous :) Check out Bea of Bloomsbury for an affordable (though untraditional) afternoon tea. They have 3 locations throughout London – some serve afternoon tea everyday, others on weekends only, so double check. Enjoy ^_^

Love your blog! Although not travel and food related, I have to ask…where are those gorgeous black boots from you're wearing at the train station?
