Checking in at the St. Regis, Mexico City. Here on a work assignment and couldn’t be happier.
Macarons and champagne upon arrival.
Late lunch of guacamole and tortilla soup. Peppermint tea on the side. I always crave hot soup after plane rides. Flew Aeroméxico for the first time today. Minor drama at the airport (isn’t there always?) But we made it. And that’s all that matters.
More macarons with turn-down service.
Can’t wait to share photos from dinner. Jean-George launched his first Latin America restaurant at this St. Regis. It just opened last week and we were very lucky to taste a good portion of the menu (and all the desserts!) this evening.
The butler service here is over the top. And I can’t get over this bathroom television. Many hotels have televisions in the bathroom, but few like this. Flat and embedded into the mirror. I believe it’s officially called the “Electric Mirror.” Still oohing over it.
Am thinking maybe I don’t want to go back to reality in a few days ;)
