Good morning sunshine! It might be pouring outside, but all is well and cozy inside Thé Adoré, a Japanese-owned French bakery/café on 13th Street. The bakery is on the first floor – look for warm quiches and a parade of sweets. Madelines, tarts, and almond butter financiers. But if you wish to stay for a nibble, go up one flight the creaky stairs, don’t forget to leave your wet umbrella near the entrance. We’re here for breakfast with Noelle – she’s in town for just a few days.

Sign me up for a morning meal of fresh-baked croissants – so flaky, and baguettes. Doesn’t it remind you of Paris? The baguette is still warm, sliced lengthwise and ready for a hearty spread of butter. Apricot jam or strawberry? Strawberry please!

Orange juice, tea, and a savory breakfast sandwich for Noelle. Here is our spread, let’s dig in. Warm wooden tables and views of a tree-lined street. Catch-up chats and gossip of the girly sort, an extra sugar cube or two just because. Positively serene.

    one of my favorite breakfasts in manhattan, i love the continental set. for me, i usually have ceylon and perhaps apricot jam to shake it up, but that baguette is heavenly when it's still warm!

    Hi Ethan! Oh man, warm baguette is the best! Love the continental set as well – such a good deal too (especially considering the pot of tea is $6 alone :)Hi Kat! It sure is! ^_^
