Cupcake Delivery: A Monday Surprise

The doorman stopped me when I came home this afternoon. He handed me a white bag. “Hand-delivered. You will be sharing this with us, no?” he said with a wink. The elevator ride was an eternity, but I made in the apartment and tore the package open. Who doesn’t love a surprise delivery? Particularly those of the edible sort. Inside, one perfectly boxed and gift wrapped Magnolia Bakery cupcake. Yellow cake, pink frosting, sugar daisy. Sunshine happiness. And a little miniature shopping bag to match.

The front of the bag had the Magnolia Bakery logo (so cute, I love everything miniature!) and to the side…could it be? The Bloomingdale’s logo? Indeed! Tucked within the mini shopping bag was a flier – complete with green and white ribbon, announcing the grand opening of the newest Magnolia Bakery location: inside Bloomingdale’s. Turn on the kettle, let’s get a pot of Earl Grey tea brewing. It will go perfectly with this afternoon cupcake. Going to share with the doorman of course ;)
