All you need is a bottle of rosé, preferably one from Paumanok Vineyards*. Pull out that cheeseboard from Brooklyn Slate Company and pile on buttery ribbons of prosciutto. Pierre picked up a crusty raisin-walnut loaf from Eataly yesterday, along with the prosciutto and cheese. That’s gorgonzola closest to you and a small wedge (portion control!) cut from an aged goat cheese wheel.
We cleared the first board and plated another, then another. It’s hard to resist, so easy, so rich. And so much for portion control. The afternoon turned into 9pm by the time we were done. At least we called it dinner.
*Paumanok Vineyards is definitely worth a visit if you’re on the North Fork of Long Island.
