Many thanks to kzhbaker for turning me on to these incredible creations by PetitPlat, by the France-based artisan Stéphanie Kilgast. From croissants to macarons and miniature food scaled 1:12 and turned into jewelry, it seems there nothing this girl can’t create in miniature! Can you imagine the patience it takes do something like this? Impressive.

I’ve happily whittled away hours browsing her flickr stream, lusting after each piece.

Check out her tea sandwiches too. The “real” sandwiches above and miniatures below – made of polymer clay. The 5-year old in me wants to bring out Polly Pocket dolls and have a mini tea party on our red rug. Spring dresses and pretty heels required.

Mini mint-chocolate cakes topped with banana and kiwi slices. Grated chocolate over whipped cream filled mugs and tiniest truffles you’ll ever see. Seriously, too adorable!
