Hello!

I'm Kathy YL Chan and this is my food and travel blog.

Born and raised in Hawai'i, I now call Manhattan's Greenwich Village home. I write about luxury travel and restaurants for Gotham Magazine, Fodor's Travel Guides, Ocean Drive Magazine, HILuxury Magazine, Hana Hou! Magazine, and FLUX Hawai'i. I also write the daily Sugar Rush and Afternoon Tea columns at Serious Eats.

Currently I split my time between NYC, Honolulu - Hawai'i, and Paris. Life is quite wonderful...there is little to complain about, but always room for improvement! Below are short + sweet answers to common questions, please check here before emailing me.

A Passion for Food is primarily NYC-based, with frequent travels to Honolulu, Hawai'i and Paris.
