NYC | Yoshi from Lafayette

Meet “Yoshi” from Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery. It’s one of the many colorful creations from pastry chef Jen Yee…and more importantly, it incorporates tea. There’s a beautifully salted petit beurre at the base, a heart of apricot compote, and filling of jasmine tea mousse. Airy light and bold in flavor…

…and how can you resist those disks of apricot gelée? Just right for a Monday afternoon snack ^_^

I was just at Lafayette this weekend for dinner and saw the Yoshi cake, but opted for the saffron nectarine instead. Thanks for sharing, so that now at least I know what the inside looks like! :)
