NYC | Lunch at the Four Seasons New York

Wednesday, July 10, 2013 0 No tags Permalink 0

I love the Four Seasons at all times of the day, but specifically during lunch in the Garden Room with giant trees, enormous rose bouquets, and floor to (high) ceiling windows.

1pm with Katharine (congrats on the engagement!). An amuse of caviar-topped bisque and poached shrimp…

…followed by shared apps of heirloom tomatoes with olive oil, balsamic, and salt…

…and my all-time favorite crab salad. All that sweet meat, already picked. Effortless eating with green apples, a champagne emulsion, avocado, and wasabi caviar.

Pan-fried soft shell crabs with tomato chutney and avocado. Spot the bonito flakes?

Katharine’s entree of seared ahi (love the way they cut the tuna) with broccolini and “velvet” apricots.

My branzino came with savory saba butter (the cubes to the left of the branzino) and a grapefruit-arugula salad.

Another pot of earl grey…

…then dessert. A lilikoi (huzzah!) dome set atop pistachio cake…

…and formage blanc panna cotta with plums.

Till next time ^_^
