Today we have treats from from Cha Cha Thé ^_^

This Taipei-based teahouse and tea company is owned by fashion designer Shiatzy Chen. She has upcoming plans to open several locations in the US…including NYC.

And of course the packaging is beautiful. Minimalist and elegant.

I accidentally ate most of the nougats before taking photos :)

When you dine at the teahouse (menu offerings include darjeeling sponge cakes and black rice tarts), they send you off with a few sweets…

…like these soft, chewy almond nougats. The name translates as “three life rock.”

And others made with dates, black sugar, and walnuts. “Clouds and fallen moons.”

So let’s put away our laptops for a minute and sit for tea.

Are you interested in 文山包种, wenshan pouchong…

…or 東方美人, a white tip oolong?

This is more commonly known as Oriental Beauty…but I find that name too cheesy.

P.S. Here’s a look inside Cha Cha Thé…

…let’s go one day!

I heart date based desserts! I hope the NYC locations carry "clouds and fallen moons".

Hi Georgia – Same here! Date desserts are so common in Asia, but pretty rare (minus sticky toffee pudding :) in NYC.
