A Very Alsatian Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving ^_^

We had a Alsatian dinner with the generous friends who hosted us post-Sandy. Homemade spätzle fried with butter, turkey and gravy, sweet potatoes, and a dish of braised red cabbage with chestnuts. Onions, lardons, red wine, red cabbage, chestnuts and apples – what an amazing combination.

Lots of cheese and even more dessert. Lemon tart! Chocolate cake! Pumpkin pie! Fresh whipped cream and plenty of champagne. May every Thanksgiving be this delicious.
