Go to the uptown Ritz for downtown Ritz for brunch.

jalapeño cornbread and chili butter

Ask for a table in the downstairs/street level room and do not skip the almond pancakes or foie gras bread pudding.

We walk off our meal with a river side stroll all the way back up to 8th street. And sometimes we stop by this hidden playground in Battery Park City. So easy to get stuck in your own neighborhood…sometimes I forget there is much more to see.

Two appetizers, and then two entrées shared (and thoughtfully divided into two plates). Pictured is a half-portion of the poached egg lobster skillet with crisp potatoes, asparagus, and béarnaise.

A half-portion of the seared salmon with spinach and mustard beurre blanc.

Our favorite savory dish of them all? This side of foie gras bread pudding served in a Staub cocotte and complete with a caramelized top. A supple pudding made from brioche with a center of seared foie gras. Bliss!

Hi Amy! Ahaha, it's quite tall, but the pancakes are on the small side. I believe they have a "regular" stack on the weekday breakfast menu…can you imagine the size of that? ;)
