Definitely back in NYC. The crazy people on the street, 50F weather one day, and 20F the next. Walking instead of driving, doormen instead of Buddy at the front door. Boots instead of slippers, concrete in place of palm trees...yet it still feels like home.

1. Lunch with Lisa at momofuku ssäm bar. The duck obsession continues. Rotisserie Duck Over Rice – duck, scallion, ssam sauce, crispy shallot, and chive pancakes.

2. Afternoon at Aria Wine Bar in the West Village. Slow and low key. Cheese plates, osso buco tagliatelle, burrata and espresso to finish. Our view looking out.

3. Winter and dry skin, a seemingly unavoidable pairing. But this year, I'm determined to stay hydrated with 'Diorsnow D-NA Control' White Reveal Essence by Dior. So far so good. Love: that it was designed specifically for Asian skin, the elegant bottle, and easy glide of silky clean serum.

4. Ushiwakamaru is one of our
neighborhood go-to spots.
Sushi and sashimi dinner with Pierre. Extra uni, please. We also had
tempura (a mix of shrimp, shiso leaves, carrot, taikon and taro) and the buttery miso cod.

5. My usual order at La Colombe: Earl Grey tea and slice of olive oil cake.

6. Last Friday, better known as
that day of the fiery sunset. Caught a glimpse of it while standing at the intersection of Leroy and Bleecker Street.

Welcome back to New York! It must be difficult to adjust after being in Hawaii, but at least it's isn't snowing... yet.
