Cheerful little pumpkins line the communal tables at Le Pain Quotidien this month, a sweet nod to the season. Cups (or would you call that a bowl? ;) of coffee...
...and savory dishes to share. One Quiche Lorraine (the one I tried to replicate at home), served warm and outfitted in a whole wheat crust. More pumpkins in the back!
Say hello to Tartine of the week: Brie and Turkey. Whole grain mustard spread atop slices of bread - rustic and hearty, a simple salad and cantaloupe on the side. No matter what we order, it's decided: Quiche Lorraine is the best thing on the menu at Le Pain Quotidien. He brings the newspaper and I bring a book. We come here for the breezy, carefree Sunday atmosphere. Just an hour respite, energized for the day.Le Pain Quotidien
