Hello! How is everyone’s week going? Pierre and I have been back from France for over a week now, but it’s turns out I’m quite good at something Pierre has coined, “vacation reality.” A refusal to live in real reality, opting instead for a frou frou dream world.
That’s not so bad, no? ;)
Yesterday I did a fun and memorable product shoot with Chambre de Sucre. They’re doing a new product brochure for the sugars (an adorable “how to use your sugars” booklet) and we hired Diana for the design work. Very excited for the new booklet to come out soon, it will be awesome!
Wanted to share a few of these outtakes with you. We took what seems liked a million photos, most centered around the theme of afternoon tea. The hardest part will be narrowing down to only six photos for the booklet. We brought in many pastries from Bosie Tea Parlor, but some were damaged in transition including this Rose Ispahan. Lisa joked that it was probably for the better, since we wanted to eat it anyways! Rose, raspberry, lychee, and macarons, could there be a more beautiful combination?
Eclairs with chamomile cream and a tidy layer of summer strawberries, darjeeling showed up again in a tart form, alongside layered chocolate chai cakes, lemon and matcha tea cakes and plenty of sugar to go around. Can you tell we were having fun?
