NYC Mondays

Mondays are always a little crazier than they need to be. Out at appointments, in for work, appointments, work non-stop. Don’t get me wrong, the work part I love, the running around in humidity and relentless summer heat? Not so much. And on top of it, what appears to be an enormous red rash that’s taking over my face. Simultaneously painful and embarrassing. Two days before we leave to Paris of course ;)

In the afternoon, must seriously stop all for a hot cup of pu’erh tea and a plain financier. Buttery, tender and vanilla sweet. Breathe in, breathe out. Living in NYC tends to make people a little crazy sometimes.

Pu’erh from Lisa and financier from…where else, Financier!

Try a warm oatmeal compress or mask (that's basically what Aveeno products are!) – to soothe the inflammation. Dry, then apply hydrocortisone. Then, call your derm right away!

Oh no! Are you talking about pimples? Did you eat too much spicy and fried food over the weekend? FYI, Coppelia is offering a $15 dessert prix fixe. Perhaps you might want to try and report back to us before you leave us for Paris. :)I actually thrive under the sun. Maybe because I'm a Leo. :P

Hi Kim! Not pimples, more like a case of rash gone very wrong (changed the post to make it more clear heheh) hope it goes away before we leave on vacation. Would be sad to visit Paris with a rash-laced face! I've been meaning to try that $15 dessert tasting!! Will try to get there before leaving, or if not, right after I come back! :)Hahah the sun makes me fall apart, but I'm a cancer!

Did you see a dermatologist? Maybe it's the heat. Try to stay out of the sun then and wear a hat. Oh, I didn't know the dessert tasting has been going on for awhile already. Thought it was new. Do you actually finish all the plates in all your posts? Surely a sugar rush'd. :P

Hi Kim! It is new…just heard about it beforehand hehehe ^-^ Everything gets finished! I often share the desserts when friends are around, but nothing ever goes to waste :)
