Lunch with mom and two friends at Mariposa in Neiman Marcus. The main attractions of the Mariposa (aside from the setting) are popovers and chicken consommé. Don’t miss the sweet potato fries, and warm lilikoi pudding for dessert. The rest of the menu (aka apps and mains), I confess, I could do without ^_^

…and Kahuku Corn Chowder for the rest. I personally prefer the corn chowder (super chunky, and love, fresh, local corn!), but my mom swears by the clam chowder.
For our mains, I had the Seared Scallops, accompanied by Potato Gnocchi, Smoked Prosciutto, Kahuku Corn, Fava Bean Puree, Roasted Lobster Jus.
Mom went with the Lobster Club with Bacon, Roasted Peppers, Avocado, and Mayonnaise. The club comes with salad, but she replaced them with truffled fries ^_^
Another companion had the House-Smoked Pork Tenderloin, which came with Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Brown Butter Appleshire Sauce, and Sautéed Kale.
And for the fourth diner, Greek Salad: Grilled Chicken, Shredded Maui Romaine, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onions, Cucumbers, Chickpeas, Grilled Avocado, Feta Cheese and Oregano-Caper Vinaigrette.
